I love to share the experience of Taichi with Asian American Womxn and Womxn of Color who may want to learn in an environment that is focused on us. As I teach, I incorporate my background in spirituality, particularly Taoism, to teach Taichi as a spiritual practice. Instructors of Taichi online or in the West often focus on the outward movements, but the purpose of Taichi is inner cultivation. Thus, I think it’s important to experience the historical and spiritual roots of this communal practice. Each retreat will be limited to a small group of 3-8 womxn in order to cultivate a greater sense of community.
