This book presents contemplative witnessing as a communal spiritual practice that centers the experiences of people of color in spiritual companioning and care.

For all my life I’ve read books on Christian spiritual formation written by white authors and internalized their experiences of God as the norm and even as the authority. But more and more I feel a discontinuity in my soul. This book is my soul’s exploration into non-western ways of being and what they teach us about our spirituality.
